Studio
The Studio
Located in Orlando, FL, this is where Elliott James, The Lacklusters, Hammerhead Lincoln, and The Resophonics make their recordings for Shinola Records.
Recording original songs is the passion here, and using great studio tools to that end is part of the pleasure, innit? Lots of fun is had with various guitars and amps, Hammond B3 organ, various keys and pianos, plenty of drums/percussion, and a mish mash of recording gear.
You can have a listen to the studio’s music on this website. All these albums will soon be available for download right here, for free (website still under construction). They can also be found on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube and most other popular streaming sites.

Who Are These Guys?
Got Mojo Studio is the recording sanctum of John and Elliott James, an old guy and his son.
Elliott, a consummate drummer-percussionist (who also rocks keys, guitar, bass, and whatever else he can find), is an accomplished singer/songwriter. His engineering and production skills being professional grade, he is the studio’s go-to mixing engineer.
Singer/songwriter John James plays guitar, bass and whatever, and mostly guesses his way through recording and engineering tasks.
Frequent flyers include a handful of experienced players who have written and made music around Orlando for decades: Timmy Kelliher (alias “Buster Cousins” and proprietor at Hippy House Studio here in Orlando) on vocal/guitar/bass, Gerry Wilhelm and Ron Cobb on bass, Juan Perez on percussion and drums. These guys are regulars at Got Mojo sessions.
Sax, horns, additional vocals, and whatever else might be needed come from our local brotherhood of Orlando based musicians. Oh, and sometimes “Shark” Mason comes in to engineer!
